The amount of money being spent on national defense is ridiculous! We already spend 1/6 of the national budget on defense, so why should we spend any more? In fact, we could lower defense spending and use the available money for more useful projects, such as improving education or reducing the national debt. There is no major international threat to the United States and we already have the most powerful, advanced military in the world. Some of the defense money should be spent in other areas of the budget.
