Each year in America, both the state and federal governments waste incredible sums of taxpayer dollars to fund outdated programs and causes. We know that government cannot be totally efficient, but if we all wasted this much of our individual incomes, we would be bankrupt. It is time for our elected officials to represent us by trying to cut the waste in government budgets. If Americans are going to shell out our hard-earned tax money, the least our government can do is use it wisely.
