Due to the drastic reduction in size of our nation's military, we need to resort to drastic measures. Our military may be technologically advanced, but it is far from being strong. I propose that we begin drafting (at random) those who have graduated high school and who are not attending/going to attend college within 1 year for a 2 year term which would begin after initial training. I believe that it is every citizen's duty to serve at least 1 term in the military, but I realize that this would not ever happen. A draft would boost our military's size, and also give a sense of national pride. It doesn't matter if Johnny was drafted or not, if he is serving in the military, his family will be supportive of the military and the government as a whole. I urge you to realize this advantage and take action.
