On Friday, April 27 the NCAA announced that the state of Mississippi cannot host NCAA Championship events due to the state's flying of the confederate flag. In my opinion the state flag should have nothing to do with intercollegiate athletics. If the state voted to keep the flag, then it is no one's right to say that flying it is wrong. The state should not be penalized for the wishes of the people.
