Dear recipients, My name is Tony Meledandri. I am currently 14 years old. Already, I have developed an interest in politics. I feel that if a 14-year-old is already concerned about many issues facing the nation, something's not right. My strongest feelings have developed towards the topic of abortion, which I feel has become completely out of control. With the development and distribution of RU-486, and the long ago acceptance of abortion as a common and legal practice, this issue is something that needs to be faced by someone who has more courage then those who have tried and failed in the past. Somebody who is willing to step up and face the death of so many unborn children without worrying about the ripples this will cause in our political system. I feel bad for anyone who is more concerned with ruining their reputation as a politicion or as a person in general than standing up for their beliefs and, more importantly, saving lives. So I ask you to stand up for your beliefs and to fulfill your political promise to represent the people. I simply hope that you will take a stand against abortion which has been too long in standing and to stop the horrible tragedy that has become commonplace. Someone needs to stand up for those future neighbors, friends, and family who are being silenced before they can speak. Please, stop this terrible slaughter of the innocent. Thank you for your time.
