To all concerned: Many doubt the legality of secession, but I affirm it is Constitutional. I am not urging secession; I am on the other hand asking for North Carolina to be prepared for the worst, and in doing so am urging the North Carolina Constitutional Amendment of: Article I; Sec. 4: Secession prohibited. "This State shall ever remain a member of the American Union; the people thereof are part of the American nation; there is no right on the part of this State to secede; and all attempts, from whatever source or upon whatever pretext, to dissolve this Union or to sever this Nation, shall be resisted with the whole power of the State." I ask you to ponder then: What if 10 years into the future the US accepts Homosexual Unions, and abolishes the churches and attacks the beloved Christian principles of this Nation? We are trapped by our own Constitution, which in 1868 was adopted under bayonet point by the Unionist Carpetbaggers and Reconstructionists. If our nation continues in these roads then it will fall. I for one do not wish to see this great and proud nation fall. But if we Christians do not Stand Up for Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Our Savior, then we ALL will fall. I ask that we, the State of North Carolina educate our children about the truth of our Confederate Heritage and Symbols, and of our Christian Faith, Beliefs, and Heritage. I do not want to see our state ruined by the impending wrath of the Almighty. The State of Arizona has issued this bill: "That when or if the President of the United States, the Congress of the United States or any other federal agent or agency declares the Constitution of the United States to be suspended or abolished, if the President or any other federal entity attempts to institute martial law or its equivalent without an official declaration in one or more of the states without the consent of that state or if any federal order attempts to make it unlawful for individual Americans to own firearms or to confiscate firearms, the State of Arizona, when joined by thirty-four of the other fifty states, declares as follows: that the states resume all state powers delegated by the Constitution of the United States and assume total sovereignty; that the states re-ratify and re-establish the present Constitution of the United States as the charter for the formation of a new federal government, to be followed by the election of a new Congress and President and the reorganization of a new judiciary, similarly following the precedent and procedures of the founding fathers; that individual members of the military return to their respective states and report to the Governor until a new President is elected; that each state assume a negotiated, prorated share of the national debt; that all land within the borders of a state belongs to the state until sold or ceded to the central government by the state's Legislature and Governor; and that once thirty-five states have agreed to form a new government, each of the remaining fifteen be permitted to join the new confederation on application." If those CERTAIN conditions WERE met TODAY then we, the state of North Carolina would be trapped. The Hon. Gov. Easley, proposed change in his campaign for Governor, then I respectfully ask that we change the Section of the North Carolina Constitution known as: ART. I; SECT. 4. I am not a dissenter, nor a 'rabble-rouser' but a freedom-loving, God Fearing, North Carolina Citizen, who loves Jesus, his State, his Country, and his Heritage. Please reply, sign this petition and Stand with me! Can you not see the handwriting on the wall? What shall be done? I will ever remain loyal to the cause of Christ, I am, Respectfully Yours, Pastor Creighton L. Lovelace
