The theory of evolution needs to continue to be taught in public schools. It isn't a question of teaching children there is no God; it's science and Darwin's theory is one of the foremost theories of modern science. It is taught as that a theory. In sciences, though, a theory is, essentially, fact, until it is solidly disproven. Nothing has come along to disprove evolution, certainly not creation science. For those who demand that "creationism" be taught alongside evolution, now that is a direct violation of the 1st Amendment. You CANNOT teach children that God created the world. That's specific religious dogma, not science. Besides, if you think evolution has some holes, look at creationism and tell me it's scientifically true. If you have problems with our godless public schools, send your kids to a parochial school where they can be taught creationism to their hearts content, but if you're in a public school, you will be taught a secular curriculum. That includes the theory of evolution, and doesn't include Christian dogma.
