All Three Major Political Parties Agree on One Thing
Reform Party Latest to Speak Out

Third Party taps activism portal SpeakOut.com to provide advanced web capabilities

WASHINGTON, D.C. — March 28, 2000 — The Reform Party of the United States, now joining the Democratic and Republican parties in a "tri-bipartisan" nod to the role the Internet will play in fostering activism and involvement by their members, today tapped SpeakOut.com to power activism features on its website.

The SpeakOut.com Activism Partnership will enable the Reform Party to offer a range of interactive tools for its members, all of which feature the ability for citizens and activists to SpeakOut and Be Heard by officeholders, candidates, business leaders and the media establishment.

"We are excited about the many areas in which SpeakOut.com will enhance the role that our members can play in the political process, from Capitol Hill to City Hall," said Gerald Moan, Vice Chairman of the Reform Party. "The Reform Party was founded on a notion of involvement and activism, and SpeakOut.com will help us use the Internet to bring those values to voters."

SpeakOut.com, a non-partisan activism portal headquartered in Washington, D.C., is developing cutting-edge technologies for individuals to take a powerful role in the decisions that affect their lives. While other sites specialize in posting election information, SpeakOut.com is unique in also providing two-way communication between citizens and their elected leaders and candidates who aspire to office.

"The Reform Party is well aware that citizenship and activism are great American traditions that should be promoted in every way possible," said Ron Howard, Chairman and CEO of SpeakOut.com. "As it serves to improve the political process, we are proud to offer the Reform Party the same enhanced citizenship and activism tools that we are making available to the Republicans and Democrats."

As with its agreement with the DNC and RNC, SpeakOut.com's Activism Partnership with the Reform Party gives them access to a wide array of Speakout activism tools, including tailored news delivery, aggregated messaging, debate rooms, surveys, and interactive broadcast events.

The partnership also calls for SpeakOut.com and the Reform Party to jointly develop custom features that create a substantive and powerful interaction between the party and its members. Currently in the final stages of planning and implementation are tools for online fundraising and a series of three interactive "Issues Conferences" in which major topics in the upcoming election will be discussed in a Washington, D.C. venue and webcast live to interested viewers on the Internet. Many of the SpeakOut.com online activism tools will be showcased for Internet users throughout the Issues Conferences. Further announcements concerning such activities will be forthcoming.
