McAuliffe and Reed will serve as strategic advisors to the company, joining the ranks of SpeakOut’s all-star, bipartisan political advisory board chaired by Tom Downey, former member of Congress; Rich Bond, former chairman of the Republican National Committee; Michael K. Deaver, former deputy chief of staff to Ronald Reagan; William Diefenderfer, a senior official in the Bush Administration; Carter Eskew, an advisor to Vice President Gore; Ed Gillespie, former director of communications and congressional affairs for the Republican National Committee; Susan Molinari, former member of Congress; and Jack Quinn, former White House counsel to President Clinton. Terry McAuliffe, advisor, friend and fundraiser to President Clinton, has been actively involved in Democratic politics for over two decades. He served as national co-chairman and national finance chairman of President Clinton’s re-election campaign in 1996, national finance chairman for the Democratic National Committee in 1994 and finance chairman for the Gephardt for President campaign. He is currently the chairman of the American Heritage Corporation, a premier builder of single family homes in Central Florida. Ralph Reed is widely acknowledged as one of the most important Republican political strategists in the nation.
